Hi all,  so I thought I'd better do another blahtastic blog entry, seeing as how it's been 3 or 4 months.  Looks like 'The Summoner', my first novel, is going to be out in two weeks - on Feb 1st. 

Other news...hmmm.  Not much, I guess.  I'm turning thirty-five in a month or so.  Officially middle-aged.  (Ha! -you might say.  I should be so lucky as to reach 70.)  Well, towards that end, I'm quitting smoking...right after I put my twenty-one year old cat to sleep.  Certainly not before.  But Rogue, said cat, is suffering...and I've put it off way too fucking long.  It's just so bloody hard to let go, even when you know you're doing wrong.  Enough, though.  Enough.  I'm calling the vet on Monday.

My boys are turning a year older, too, in a few weeks.  1 and 5.  Yay for kids birthday parties!  (Can you sense my sarcasm? Lol.) 

And lastly, I'm doing my schoolwork again.  I took a seven month hiatus.  First to try and come up with the 'Real life, Real people' proposals my tutor, Felix, had asked for, and then to write The Summoner. 

I sent in the next assignment rather expecting a 'Fuck you, babe...it's been seven months and we have your money, so take a hike.'  Plus, I had to admit that I couldn't even come up the stupid proposals, that RL/RP just didn't do it for me, and that if I couldn't get published in 'Print' writing what I wanted to, then maybe 'Print' wasn't where I was meant to be.  (Felix feels Epub is a big step below print...and I suppose I agree with him...but then, Epub's will buy what I want to write...so...)

Anyway, Black Lace has a paranormal sub-print now, so I explained that I was going to try for them, but if they didn't bite, I wasn't that freakin' concerned.  I then had the audacity to ask if he'd missed me. *snerk*  The man says, "Very much, Alisha.  I'm a sucker for feisty."  Which gave me a chuckle.  Somehow, older fellows always find me feisty...

'Raving Bitch' is often my label of choice for the younger male crowd.  Just goes to show you, wisdom really does come with age.
