'Analgesia' in Storm Moon's 'Fraternal Devotion'

Gabbi of Top2Bottom reviews gave FD 4.5 Kisses out of 5 overall and says:

I was anxious to read this book, and I wasn’t disappointed in the least! Every story in the book brought something to the table.

And About Analgesia in particular: 5 kisses.

Out of all of the other stories in this anthology, this one was the most fun and sexy to read. I also liked the easy style of writing the author has and I’m looking forward to reading more books by her.

Darien Moya of Pants Off Reviews gave Fraternal Devotion 4 out of 5 pants off ands says:
This book went to front of the line, just because I love me some bromance of the sexy kind. I gobbled it up in no time, and was slightly disappointed there weren’t a lot more stories. I Wanted Moar!!

And about Analgesia in particular: I loved the hell out of this one...It really did a wonderful balance of providing their (Ethan and Brandon's) relationship as lovers but never letting the reader forget that they are brothers. They fight, argue, and constantly tease each other and it just amplifies the naughty. The writing is fantastic and provides realistic elements in a playful manner(I liked that). Analgesia was just made of awesmazingness.

Cole Riann Reviewing at The Armchair Reader gave Fraternal Devotion 3.5 out of 5, overall and says:

I've been looking forward to this anthology for a while now, since I'm a fan of Brothercest and Twincest. These stories definitely live up to the kink, most a contemporary and realistic look at love between brothers. Individually, the stories ranged from good to better...

And about Analgesia in particular: This story is very heavy on sex, but the writing is simply fantastic at times. It showcases the taboo aspect because even while intimate it is still very obvious that they are brothers...this is an author that I’ll be watching out for in the future.

Your Fantasy or Mine? in Lemon Kisses

Daisiemae of Night Owl Reviews gave Lemon Kisses 4 out of 5 stars and says:
Lemon Kisses was a very good book. Out of the four stories I liked Amorela Veritath by Eon de Beaumont and The Daemon Within by B.J. Franklin the best, but the other two stories were good too. One of the good things about his anthology is that it will have something for everyone’s flavor. All of the stories are unique and fast paced. It’s definitely a good way to escape everyday life for a few hours.

Elisa Rolle an avid reviewer of erotica says:

 I think that the common trait of all these stories was to be more funny than anything else, they pushed quite a lot on the lightness button, and after all, I prefer them like that;

And about Your Fantasy or Mine in particular: I have to admit that, even if I usually don’t like the non con-almost raping sex scene, this one was well plotted and described, and there is more than one proof that, even if Kevin was not of the mind to experience it, he was along for the ride when he found himself in the middle of it (even if it was Seth that was actually in the middle…)

Your Fantasy or Mine? in Lemon Kisses

Anemone of Erotic Romance Reviews gave Lemon Kisses 3 out of 5 cherries and says:

I enjoyed Lemon Kisses, even though two of the stories weren’t to my taste although you may find differently.  I felt each story did stay true to this sub-genre of gay romance and truly entertaining.

And about Your Fantasy or Mine? In particular: The book started with the light-hearted yaoi with Your Fantasy or Mine which centered around a work-place crush Seth has for Kevin, that turns into a sexual fantasy involving a threesome with Darth Vader. I literally couldn’t put the story down because it kept getting more outrageous from there. With a happy for now, I felt oddly (and guiltily) satisfied afterwards.

The Summoner re-released by Lyrical Press

Lynn Reynolds a Romance Reader Enthusiast and Reviewer gives The Summoner 4.5 out of 5 and says:

(Alex and Kasdeya) are the perfect match – he being the typical bad boy and her the typical good girl...Alisha’s scenes are so descriptive that you almost feel that you’re a voyeur. But I don’t think either of them would mind being on display. They seem to be playing a game of cat and mouse. It leaves me wondering who’s going to win.

Shelley, a reviewer for The Forbidden Bookshelf gave The Summoner 3 out of 5 and says:

This is the story of a demon, aka Fallen named Kasdeya, jaw-droppingly sexy, who is seeking to escape the prison his boss, Satan, otherwise known as Shaitan, has put him into as punishment for sleeping with his concubine. The demon, er, I mean Fallen, has discovered a Summoner, Alex, who can help him escape this prison... Unfortunately for him, her, and the rest of us, once he is free, he falls sappily in love with said Summoner and does not want to leave her. Though I liked the writing style in general and there were some hot sex scenes (the ménage in particular just about melted my panties), I had a lot of “Hmmm…” moments that ultimately ruined it for me.

Tanya of Joyfully Reviewed says:

Ms. Steele has an erotic story of good and evil in The Summoner, and just wait and see who you think is really good and who is really evil. The Summoner is definitely one book you will not want to leave laying around as it is more than a little spicy, not that I am complaining. I love the idea of the fallen angel with dark wings etc., yummy.

Stay With Me -ARe's 28 Days of Heart

BD Whitney of BookWenches gives Stay With Me 4.5 out of 5 and says:

I’m pleased when I stumble across stories that use the myths as inspiration, and when those stories are well-written and fun, I’m truly thrilled. Such is the case with Alisha Steele’s short novella ,Stay with Me. This story is sweet, sexy, funny, and well-written, and I found it to be simply delightful.

Ms. Steele breathes rich and colorful life into the characters of Stay with Me, even given the brevity of this story. Dionysos is an irresistible main character, and since the story is told from his perspective, we get to share his thoughts and motivations. He is suffering from a terrible case of ennui when we meet him. He knows he’s gorgeous, is tired of quick and easy conquests, and is just plain spoiled, but that is part of his charm...He is so good-natured and affectionately arrogant, there is no way you can’t love this guy.

'Lucky' in 'Like Magnets, We Attract'

Cassie of Joyfully Reviewed says:

Like Magnets We Attract is a widely varied anthology based off the opposites attract theme. There are a few keepers here and some that I didn't enjoy so much, but overall it's an interesting anthology with lots of different takes on the theme.

And about Lucky in particular: Carl Ruiz used to be a student at the prestigious Westenvale College, but after some bad luck and bad behavior he's a janitor there. Now he's invisible to his former friends. He's astonished when one of the young men, the rich and handsome Josh Camden, speaks to him one day. What could Josh want with him?

"Lucky" has a cool premise, but everything happened way too fast for my taste. Carl was a sympathetic character and I rooted for him, but Josh came across as a spoiled kid acting out against his father.

Blech - not my favorite review ever, I'll admit.  What do you do?  Can't please everyone.  I was told that the sex in 'Lucky' was my best ever, so it's worth a read - if only for the hot 'have-to-have-you-now-or-I'll-fucking-kill-myself' (to quote a lovely young lady from my critique group) sex.

Clayton Bye of Alternative-Read.com Reviews - in my most interesting review to date - says:

What to say about Alisha Steele’s, The Summoner? Unconventional in its treatment of demons, overflowing with explicit content and hung on a story that has the potential to stand on its own, the book manages to turn evil beings into lovable characters, allows us to believe that one tiny woman can actually hold her own against The Devil himself and narrowly avoids being pornography...
Alisha Steele is a talented author who appears to understand what so many erotic authors don’t: story comes first. If you can write interesting fiction that can grab and hold your reader, you can get away with just about anything you want. The Summoner proves it.

Dawn from Love Romances and More gives 'The Summoner' 3.5 out of 5 and says:

THE SUMMONER is a very sexy story that will leave you gasping for more. I love the dynamics between Alex and Kaydesa or her “Dark Man”. Ms. Steele deftly weaves a story of fallen angels, Satan, good angels, bad angels and all in between that mingle with humans and more... Ms. Steele doesn’t just keep you humming; she makes you explode with all the sexual tension that pulses in between the pages of THE SUMMONER.

Chrissy of Romance Junkies gives 'Stay With Me' 4.5 out of 5 and says:

Lovers of ancient Greece, Greek gods and romance rejoice.  Alisha Steele’s STAY WITH ME allows us mere mortals to experience Greece as it must have been thousands of years ago. Dionysos is an amazing tour guide, albeit a frustrated one, as he escorts Sianne through the various public spectacles.  It’s when he gets her alone and begins to show her the true beauty of Greece up close and personal that things really get interesting.

Ivy from Manic Readers gave The Summoner 4 1/2 stars out of five and says:

Hot does not even begin to describe the intense attraction between Kas and Alex. Once I started I didn’t want to stop until I’d finished. The atmosphere, the pacing, Kas and Alex, their attraction and dilemma all made for an exceptionally gripping read. Can love redeem The Fallen? Are they capable of love? Are they beyond redemption? The Summoner was nothing I expected, it was so much more. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys their paranormal love on the dark, dangerous and erotic side.

Anya from Coffee Time Romance gave The Summoner 4 out of 5 and says:

The sex in The Summoner is fantastic! Some of the hottest scenes I have read in a while. For that alone I love this book. Yet, there are many more reasons. Alexandra is a heroine who doesn’t need the hero, but isn’t too stupid to turn him away either. Kasdeya is unbelievably hot and following his conflicted decisions is a pleasure. The devil is a good side character, and with the others supports well.

The line between good and evil is a very thin line anyway, and in The Summoner, that line blurs even more. However, that didn’t stop me from being captivated by the characters or the plot. I loved every minute of The Summoner, and only wish I could have had more of Kas and Alex.

Janelle from Gotta Read Reviews gave The Summoner 4 out of 5 and says:

This story is great, it’s dark and sensual and hot as hell.

One of the main conflicts of this story is the question, “Is true love worth the loss of an immortal soul?” This question is repeated several times as both characters agonize over the choice that will ultimately have to be made. It provides excellent tension as a back drop to their relationship.

Unfortunately, the author tripped at finish line...

The world was vivid, dark and different from anything else I have read. Kasdeya was mouth-watering and had me wishing for a fallen angel of my own. I loved the contradiction that Alex was. She had several personality traits that I wouldn't have thought would work together, but Alisha Steele penned her in such a way that they seemed to blend and layer into a well developed character.

Carol of Rainbow Review says:

Reading Like Magnets, We Attract is like having a really great box of chocolates. You are never sure what flavor the next bite is going to be, but you know you are going to like it. These stories range through the flavors ~ tangy, sweet, pungent, nutty, tart ~ but they all have one thing in common: the heat will melt you...I usually have trouble rating an anthology because even if there are some great stories, often there are some also-rans. Not here. While I have my favorites in Like Magnets, We Attract, for once, all of the stories are genuinely appealing.

This story is a true joy to read, and not only because you’ll melt into the upholstery due to the mind blowing hotness contained within. I loved the concept, as well as the alternate reality created by Alisha Steele. Hell, quite literally, has never looked so good. Erotic Horizons reviews says:

I have mixed feeling about this book, the story line was ok and the cast had their own little nuances to ensure that I fell in love with them and had a laugh at their expense as well.. My major grouse with this book is the fine line between good and evil and whilst I know it’s all fantasy and subjective I had so much issues with the fallen angels, and the other good/evil inference made in the book.

It wasn't my best review ever, I'll admit.  But the reviewer went on to say she loved my voice and writing - it was just the subject matter which had squicked her.  Ah, well.  'Nice guy' demons aren't for everyone, I realize.  :)

Vertigo in Cleis Press's Hard Hats

Vincent Diamond reviewing for the Erotica Readers and Writers Association says:

Twenty-one stories are in this collection, and they generate a lot of heat and sweat for the characters and for the reader. Better though, several off the stories really delve into the concept, and authors have come up with some interesting takes on the building trades.

And about Vertigo in particular: "Vertigo" from A. Steele is another stand-out. Conrad Wilcox is afraid of heights, and when his new office is under construction, he's forced (kind of) to face his fears. Steele has a deft touch with dialogue, and the action is both realistic and tense. Conrad's lover literally fucks him into the air; it's un-nerving and sexy to read about it.

 Ley of Joyfully Reviewed says:

Forgive & Forget is a well-written, very imaginative, and extremely sexual take on the mythological love affair between Apollo and Zephyrus.  A. Whitney of Fallen Angel Reviews gives F&F 5 angels out of five and says:

Apollo and Zephyrus are a blindingly beautiful pair that not only explore the wilder side of sex, they have fun doing it. Kinks of all types are brought into this sexual farce, but what else can you expect from the gods on Olympus – just about everything the gods of myth did revolved around sex. Forgive and Forget makes this reader want to go back to those myths and re-read them with just a little more attention. Thank you, Ms. Steele, for giving us such an enjoyable and entertaining story. Encore, please.

What fun! Allison Tyler has once again put together a marvelous collection of sexy short stories! I love reading collections of short, erotic fiction like this one, in which each one exposes me to one small aspect of one person's erotic territory.

The Summoner, from Aphrodite's Apples - Just Erotic Romance Reviews

LT Blue of JERR gives 'The Summoner' 4 out of 5 stars and an 'O' (for orgasmic) heat rating.  She says:

The story was written with well defined primary and secondary characters that fit very smoothly into the plot. The primary characters, Alex and Kasdeya, complement each other to the fullest.  I thought this story was unique as it does not have a female character with a previous problem or situation needing a male to help her out.  Alex is independent and has set goals in life.  Kasdeya is one sexy demon and I would love to have him in my world.

...The sex between Kasdeya and Alex was super hot! I loved it. But when Shaitan and/or his concubine Shi Liu are added into the sexual play, it was really nice to have a partner standing by!  Ms. Steele created an entirely believable world in The Summoner, I am looking forward to additional stories from Alisha Steele.

Pleasantly surprising, almost all of the offerings in “Like Magnets, We Attract” ranged from solid and fun to highly entertaining and wonderful...The level of creativity, innovation and pure enjoyment made this anthology one that was easy and fun to read.

Louisa Clarke of California says:

Yes, the guys are all seriously hot, and there's plenty of the sexin', but there's also that wanton enthusiasm for the sensual things in life, passionate men who work hard and play harder. Several of the stories read like sexual romps, deliciously interlaced with humor, intense manly man moments and powerful yearnings. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, the book entertaining, stimulating and immensely satisfying.

And about Vertigo:

Vertigo by A. Steele
Conrad's going over the blueprints of his new office in a high-rise building with the building crew's hunky foreman, but his fear of heights and the fact there's no glass in his window yet, has him unnerved. Fortunately, the foreman knows exactly how to alleviate Conrad's fears. The author deliciously weaves together Conrad's anxiety with his ecstasy, as he tries to overcome his fear in a very arousing way.

Thanks for the lovely review, Louisa!

Mandy at Rogues and Romance gave The Summoner an Erotic Must Read award (6 out of 5) and says:

The Summoner is one of those books that sounds fantastic, but still seems to come out of nowhere and become one of your favorites. This is a phenomenal paranormal erotic that has as much sex as story, and both are equally captivating. Kasdeya is one of the hottest characters ever, one of those that you’ll be dreaming about long after you’ve finished the book. Alex is a heroine you will love for her kind heart, and empathize with for her “dilemma”- while still being jealous of her, of course! Besides stand-out main characters, you will meet some surprising supporting characters that you will not be able to forget either! Alisha Steele writes a story that will excite you with every page- in more ways than one! The story is fresh and exciting, and those phenomenal sex scenes will get your blood pumping! While some sex scenes are extra-kinky, erotic romance lovers will find them extra-sexy and completely appropriate to the characters. I can’t say enough about Alisha Steele’s The Summoner- it’s one wickedly wild ride!

...A riveting tale told with a nice blend of the human, the paranormal, and the erotic.  Ms Steele even adds some nice moments of humor that make the story more enjoyable. Though longer, The Summoner is a satisfying and rich story, crafted in the best tradition of paranormal romance. It has unpredictable twists that keep the reader glued to the page, and the characters become people you want to cheer for as you share their story. The portrayal of one supporting character was especially interesting since he was not what the reader would expect. That kind of writing makes this a story you’ll remember.

CONTRASTS REVOLVING AROUND TORRID SEX
The Summoner by Alisha Steele is one of the most erotic books that I have ever read. The eroticism is possible due to the collision of the real world and the underworld...This is why I liked the book; contrast. The modern world and the ancient world colliding by the meeting of two entities (Alex and Kasdeya) who are as opposite as any could be. Many of my preconceptions of Heaven and Hell were challenged (in this novel). I liked this! Heaven’s creatures came off far crueler than any of Hell’s minions.
